I'm a student. And I intend to keep it that way.
Overarching a range of experiences - academic, managerial and entrepreneurial - my time as an upskilling member of the human race has been enriched by the learnings brought forth with each insight. Whether it was tinkering, training or team building; each train of thought has been originated and culminated in the same spirit - to identify, define and solve problems.
Education
Schooling my way through numerous towns and cities across India, I've been rather fortunate in terms of the early exposure I've had to diversity - of problems and ideas. Amid all this change, what I did find as a constant was my love for all things mechanical. And this has since driven my examination of things, concepts and that of understanding itself.
Experience
Everything in this world is magic, except to the magician.
Robert Ford
In the process of fascination with a multitude of machines, methods and minds; it comes naturally for the curious to seek demystification of the apparent, that holds the contraption together. In my case, I've found it best to get a hang of it by getting my hands on it. And contrary to popular opinion, I've found the magic to remain.
Publications
Happiness [is] only real when shared.
Christopher McCandles
In working with science and tech, progress - however incremental - is made only upon legitimizing work via critique. Having had opportunities to share publicly the work I'd been a part of, it has become evident to me now that collaboration and critical feedback are both fundamental to growth.
Projects
Grashof comes alive when his law helps iterate through hundreds of linkage ratios. Fourier taps his foot along as you fish out the static from a voice recording. Convolution suddenly makes more sense when used to detect the disparity between pixels from two stereo imaging sensors. And how else is one to discover the aroma of wood, without having burned it on a lathe oneself?
Skillset
Let's have a look a what I know - objectively. In here are courses - ones I've formally completed or am in the process of doing so, languages - written, spoken or coded; tools - mathematical or mechanical, and other things that may not so simply be classified - such as the ability to identify an instance for an oxford comma.
So how may I be of assistance?
I'm always looking for newer avenues to find problems within. With due regard to the places I've worked at, courses I've done and papers I've published; I do not see myself limited to the bounds they might conform. What I carry from each experience is and insight into how understanding itself functions, and how it can be evolved to broaden the problem solver's mindset.
What problems can I help confront, along with you?
